PRIVATE EVENT GUIDELINES
Minimum Spend
Our minimum spend amount would include the room fee, gratuity and taxes, and any food or drinks purchased.
$400 is asked.
For events that are Tue-Thur and Sunday or before 3 pm on Friday and Saturday a minimum spend of
$400 is asked.
$1,000 minimum amount spent.
For events on a Friday or Saturday evening, we require
$1,000 minimum amount spent.

For an event hosted on a Monday evening when the entire building would be available to your party and no guest limit, we do require a minimum

There is a $100 room rental fee that must be paid ahead of time to secure your event date and can be paid via check or credit card. All deposits must be paid before the scheduled event date and secure your event. Checks should be made out to ShuBrew LLC. All sums are required and will be paid in full on the day of the event. Pricing does not reflect taxes or gratuity. A gratuity of 20% is added to all checks. Applicable state and local taxes will be added.

If the customer books the function within 30 days of the scheduled event, all amounts paid to date are non-refundable. Customer cancellations within 14 days of the scheduled event can be subject to full charges. Deposits are nontransferable.
Parking
There are several free parking options within close proximity to our restaurant. Parking on Main Street and side streets is allowed unless otherwise noted. The Spring Street public parking lot at 149 South Main Street is located less than one block from our address. The Towne Center Parking Lot located at 106 Clay Street behind the Kaufman Tavern is also free to park and a few blocks from our restaurant.
A microphone can be supplied upon your request. A projector and screen is available upon request. We offer two 50 inch flat screen TVs that can display a slideshow (USB required) or connect your laptop to mirror a presentation.
Music / Entertainment / AV
Please advise of musical preferences prior to a scheduled event and we will do our best to accommodate these. We have the ability to play specific genres of music or musical playlists provided by guests. Guests are welcome to bring their own games, karaoke, entertainment, etc. with prior approval. ShuBrew is not responsible for set-up of any outside entertainment provided.

Food Packages
We have several menu options for your to choose from for your special event. Our menu is subject to change. Please refer to the current menu available. Customized menus are available upon request. Please provide final menu selection at minimum 14 days prior to your event. This cannot be changed 14 days prior to your event.
Beverages
Non-alcoholic drinks are included in the per person cost, including; lemonade, fountain soda, iced tea, and coffee. Various options are available for alcohol for your guests. Please refer to our alcohol packages document. No outside alcohol may be brought in to the facility. Should ShuBrew find that any customer or guest has brought any type of alcohol onto the premises without prior written approval, or allows any minor to consume any alcoholic beverage (everyone must have a valid I.D. in their possession), ShuBrew reserves the right to close the bar immediately and/or terminate the function entirely at the customer’s expense. In addition, the customer will be responsible for all fines, loss of business, assessments and liability as a result of the above.

Guest Count
Based on the type of your event we can comfortably host up to 40 guests. Each event and its intentions are unique, please communicate an estimated guest count to your event coordinator before booking an event. For parties over 15 guests, we will provide one check for your entire party (excluding guest bar tabs).
Please provide final guest count 14 days prior to your event and cannot be reduced.
Additional Arrangements
Guests must secure prior approval before bringing in any outside food and/or beverage. We are pleased to assist you with any special event needs. Guests are welcome to bring their own decorations and set-up before an event. Guests are welcome to set up their own decorations one hour before the event start time. Decorations and decoration materials, including candles, must conform to local fire department regulations; it is expressly prohibited for banners, or materials of any kind to be affixed to ceiling, walls, without prior approval.
ShuBrew will not assume any responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise of articles left on the premises prior to, during, or following the event, including but not limited to personal articles, cake decorations, pillars, dividers, and cake tops.The customer, on behalf of the customer and all customer’s guests, expressly agrees to indemnify, release and hold ShuBrew harmless from and against any and all losses, costs of collection, damages, attorneys fees, expenses, and all claims & liability growing out of, or resulting from this agreement, customer and customer’s guests, or third parties’ personal injury associated with use of said premises (including but not limited to slips and falls), the service and consumption of alcoholic beverages and
/
or food, and any act of negligence by ShuBrew. ShuBrew is not liable for utility outages; including, but not limited to water, natural gas and electricity. No refunds will be made should utility service be interrupted.Customer agrees to be responsible for any and all liability and damage done to the premises during the period of time for setup, the actual event, customer’s guests and customer’s suppliers and other third parties who are present at customer’s request. Should any portion of this agreement be found to be invalid by a court of law, the invalidity of that portion of the agreement shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion which shall remain in full force and effect.
ShuBrew Responsibility
ShuBrew is responsible for all set-up and clean up of private events. If guests have brought in their own decorations, they will be discarded at the end of the event unless otherwise notified.
